With the self-repair program in Korea, Samsung Galaxy owners will not only be able to visit a Samsung Electronics service center and have the product repaired and purchase the necessary parts for their Galaxy products, but also repair their device themselves. It should be noted that not all devices can be repaired through self-repair, at least for now. Self-repair will start with limited devices and parts and will gradually expand in the future.

Recycled parts can be returned to Samsung via courier for disposal.

The list of eligible devices and accessories that can undergo self-repair can be found on Samsung's official website . First, the company offers self-repair for Galaxy smartphones and certain TV models. Speaking of Galaxy smartphones, the self-repair program in Korea applies to the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S22, along with the 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro laptop. The TV models include the Samsung 32-inch TV (model numbers: UN32N4000AFXKR, UN32N4010AFXKR, and UN32N4020AFXKR).

Owners of these Galaxy smartphones and TVs can purchase the necessary parts and repair tools from the official Samsung Korea website. They can repair the screen, back cover, and charging port of Galaxy smartphones. The touchpad and fingerprint-embedded power button are also included under the self-repair theme.

For laptops, users can repair the display, battery, touchpad, fingerprint power button, front case, back case, and rubber by themselves. You can find the repair manuals and videos for each device on the Samsung Electronics website. After the repair is complete, users can self-diagnose their repair through the Samsung Members app and check whether the repair was successful or not. The replaced parts can be returned to Samsung Electronics, after which users will receive a refund and the parts will be safely disposed of.
