Until now, WhatsApp users could connect up to four devices to their account, but only one of those devices could be a smartphone.

Fortunately, that has now changed, and WhatsApp now allows you to use the same account on multiple phones. You can now connect up to four additional devices as a phone, similar to how you connect to WhatsApp on browsers, tablets , and computers.
Whether you choose an iPhone or an Android, each phone is connected to WhatsApp, ensuring that your private messages, media, and calls are encrypted from start to finish. Keep in mind that if your primary phone is inactive for an extended period of time, you will be automatically logged out of all your connected devices.
Follow these steps to link your phone to your WhatsApp account. This way, you can change your phone without having to log out and continue your conversations right where you left off.

- Download and install WhatsApp on the other phone you want to use and launch it.
- Instead of entering your phone number associated with your WhatsApp account, select the “Link to existing account” option to generate a QR code.
- On your main phone, open WhatsApp and go to Settings -> Connected devices.
- Tap the Connect Device option and scan the QR code using your phone's camera

Once the QR code and synced, you'll be able to see all the conversations you had on your original phone. You can now send and receive messages , join group chats, and do all the things you normally do on your primary phone.
