The Tesla driver was filmed following a car that suddenly spun out after hitting a tire that came off a truck in the adjacent lane.
The wheel then flew towards the Tesla, which avoided it by swerving slightly to the right. According to the Tesla driver, it was the automated Autopilot system that prevented it from hitting the wheel.
Tesla has incredible features thanks to its Autopilot system, such as Automatic Emergency Braking , which is designed to prevent collisions or limit the damage of a collision. However, there are still doubts about the system's ability to detect and avoid small objects in the road, as in this case.
