Windows is aware of the printing difficulties some users and will soon release a troubleshooter to alleviate these concerns. In the meantime, you can work around this error by uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer. This should download new drivers that do not have the problem, allowing you to print normally.

The company gives instructions for adding a printer to Windows: “If Windows doesn’t automatically find a new driver after you add the printer, search for one on the device manufacturer’s website and follow the installation instructions.”

Customers can also reduce security by uninstalling printers that use Universal Print Class or Microsoft IPP Class drivers installed on devices .

Microsoft has added another compatibility hold that prevents the update from being offered to systems with Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) audio drivers due to a known issue that causes blue screens of death (BSOD).
