Linux 5.13: Notable changes, Arm, MIPS and RISC-V architectures

Linus Torvalds just announced the release of Linux 5.13: We've had a quiet week since rc7 and I see no reason to delay 5.13. The shortlog for the week is very small, with only 88 unmerged commits. It's a fairly random mix of fixes and since it's so small, I just suggest users scan the attached shortlog.

Linux 5.13

Of course, even though the last week has been quiet, 5.13 is still quite a big release overall. In fact, it's one of the biggest 5.x releases, with over 16k commits, from over 2k developers.

And with 5.13 out the door, that obviously means the “merge window” for 5.14 will start tomorrow. I already have a few pull requests pending, but as usual, I ask people to give 5.13 at least a quick test run before we move on to the exciting new pending stuff.
