The Discover feed is Google's place for breaking news, sports scores, weather, and other content you might like. You have the ability to customize what appears in this feed on your iPhone or iPad, and you should.

What is the Google Discover Feed?
The Discover feed is available on iPhone and iPad in the Google app. It's the list of cards below the search bar. You might see a weather widget at the top, then a group of articles from around the web that match your interests.

Unlike its Android counterpart, the iPhone and iPad app doesn’t have a dedicated “Discover” tab. Everything is located on the main “Home” tab.

Personalize your interests
The key to getting the most out of your Discover feed is to customize it. This is a process you should continue to do every time you use the app. A few small tweaks here and there will improve the content to your liking.

First, you'll notice a few small icons on each card. There's a control icon and a menu icon (like the one you see below).

Tapping the menu icon will reveal more information about the card. For example, we can see that the topic of this card is “Disney+.” You can choose to “Follow” the topic, tell Google that you’re not interested or don’t want to see stories from that source anymore, or decide to “Manage Interests” (more on that later).

The Control icon allows you to adjust the amount you see on a particular topic. You can either select “More” or “Less.” The selection can be adjusted at any time by tapping the icon again.

To refine your interests more directly, tap the three-dot menu icon on any card and select “Manage Interests.”.

Then, tap “Your Interests”.

Here, you'll see any topics you've previously "told" Google about. Deselect all of these if you want to stop following them.

Scroll down and you'll see a section titled “Based on Your Activity.” These are topics that Google thinks you might like. Tap the “+” to follow a topic, or tap the empty icon to hide it.

The “Based on Your Activity” list will likely be quite large, but you don’t need to search through it all. Differentiating the cards that appear in your Discover feed is the easiest way to customize the experience.
