Apple this morning officially launched its new Black Unity collection of Apple Watch as one of the many ways it celebrates Black History Month that is February. The new limited edition Apple Watch and Sport Band are available to order now from Apple's website.
When Apple announced the Black Unity collection for the Apple Watch last week, the company said it would support global organizations trying to achieve equality around the world:
Apple is introducing the Black Unity Collection to celebrate and recognize Black history. The collection includes a limited edition Apple Watch Series 6, the Black Unity Sport Band, and a Unity watch face. As part of this effort, Apple is supporting six global organizations that help achieve equality and civil rights around the world.
The Black Unity Sport Band uses colors inspired by the Pan-African flag and has the words “Truth. Power. Solidarity.” laser-etched on it. Meanwhile, the limited edition Apple Watch Series 6 has “Black Unity” laser-etched on the watch’s clasp.
The release of this limited edition hardware follows Apple's release of WatchOS 7.3 , which included a new Unity watch face inspired by the Pan-African flag.
The Apple Watch Series 6 Black Unity starts at $399 for the GPS model, while the cellular model starts at $499. The Black Unity Sport Band is priced at $49. You can order the devices today from Apple.com at the links below:
