CES 2021: Autonomous cars and a mind-reading bike

The automotive world has changed a lot in recent years, as the world's largest auto shows have gradually dwindled to the point of disappearing. But CES has also taken a place in the world of transportation: The world's largest gadget show has become one of the world's largest auto shows, where dozens of automakers and accessory makers come to show off their latest products.

CES

For years, CES has been showcasing some of the most impressive creations in the automotive industry. What will we see at CES 2021? Read the article below with the rumors that are circulating.

Autonomous cars

There are more companies working in the autonomous vehicle sector than you might think. In 2018, there were about 25 involved in this field, and right now there are really too many. Nvidia and Qualcomm are expected to attract attention with their creations. Also, Faraday and Fisker will hopefully have interesting vehicles to present, since they are new companies in the autonomous car market.

Finally, Mercedes is set to unveil what it calls a “super-display,” a digital cockpit display that the company says “is representative of the emotional intelligence of the entire vehicle and is highly capable of learning.”

Electric vehicles

Last year's CES was all about Sony's Vision-S, an electric car that was truly impressive. It seems Sony hasn't given up on the project, as rumors circulated in August that the company was testing the vehicle on the road. Expectations are high, so we can't wait to see what the company will show off at CES 2021.

Earlier this month, news broke about Hyundai's E-GMP platform, the basis for new vehicles that, unlike previous versions, will be designed from the ground up to be electric. In August, we learned about Hyundai's plans for a new EV brand called the Ioniq. It remains to be seen whether Hyundai will indeed take center stage at CES 2021.

A bike that reads our minds?

CES is known for its crazy tech. Last year, one of the truly groundbreaking creations was the Manta5. This year, we're hearing rumors that Honda is working on a mind-reading bike. Are the rumors true? We're about to find out!
