If you have ever thought about creating your own Linux-based operating system, you are probably familiar with the Linux from scratch (LFS) project. NuTyX is a complete GNU /Linux distribution inspired by LFS and BLFS (Beyond LFS), which gives you complete control over your operating system. The NuTyX development team has released the new version NuTyX 11.5, which contains minor improvements and new features. At this point, it is useful to mention the new features and improvements included in the new NuTyX 11.5.
NuTyX is based on some unique concepts such as “Collections” and “Groups” that provide high flexibility. Another new feature of NuTyX is the custom package manager called “Cards” which is available in NuTyX 11.5 with the latest version 2.4.115. Using the package manager, you can install individual binary packages or a group of binary packages. Among the desktop, NuTyX now offers upgraded graphical user interfaces in binary form, such as MATE 1.24.0, Xfce 4.14.1 and KDE Plasma 5.18.5. In addition, the latest release of NuTyX 11.5 features long-term support (LTS) of kernel 4.19.123 for its 64-bit base system. NuTyX 11.5 also continues the development of 32-bit version which features kernel 4.9.224. In addition, the “kernel-419” package in NuTyX replaces the “kernel-lts” package. It now includes four versions of the LTS kernel along with the latest stable kernel, such as kernel 4.9, 4.14, 4.19, 5.4 and 5.6.
