If it says “Your battery is currently supporting normal maximum performance,” then you’re good to go. If not, you may need to do further investigation and replace the battery.

At this point (Battery Health) you can also see if your iPhone has experienced any shutdown due to the battery. If it reports: “This iPhone experienced an unexpected shutdown because the battery could not deliver the required maximum power”. This indicates that there may be wear in the battery.

  1. Is your iPhone charging correctly?

The iPhone keeps track of battery usage , and this is very helpful because it gives useful information (charging, normal mode, low power mode). If you go to Settings> Battery, you will see a graph called “Battery Level”:

At this point you can see what your battery status is and whether your iPhone is charging normally. If the graph shows that your phone is not charging effectively, try changing chargers.

  1. Is any app consuming a lot of battery?

Below the “Battery Level” chart is another one called “Activity”.

This graph shows the time spent using apps on the screen (dark blue) and the time the screen is off (light blue).

If there is increased background activity, then the battery problem may be due to some app.

Some apps really take a long time to run and this reduces the battery life of the iPhone. One way to determine if the problem is caused by this is to disable the ability of the app to run in the background. You can do this by following the following procedure: Settings General> Background App Refresh. This will disable it and will not consume battery.
