Grammarly: If you write articles or send a lot of emails every day, this tool will become your best friend. Grammarly uses artificial intelligence to improve our written communication.
The tool is used by 20 million people and corrects grammatical errors, suggests more correct expressions, and indicates which writing style is best depending on who will read the text.

Due to the great success of this tool, the company decided to fund it further with more than 1 billion dollars. Their goal is to increase users, «by putting» the Grammarly on more platforms.
To date, the tool is used by various browsers through their extensions, as a web app, through mobile and computer applications, but also through some specific applications such as Microsoft Office.
Also, Grammarly, although considered a freemium app, gives you the ability, for a fee, to include extra tools such as detection of «writing toxicity», alternative vocabulary, writing style and plagiarism checking.
A company representative confirmed that since the app is free, most users are free. However, he stressed that this is not a reason for them to “sell or rent” their subscribers’ data and that their only source of revenue is the Grammarly Premium and Grammarly Business versions.

Furthermore, add that they know that its privacy policy is discouraging to read because it is longer than it should be. For this reason, it is in the process of being made shorter.
Grammarly has been highly profitable since it was founded in 2000 by Alex Shevchenko and Max Lytvyn, who are still involved with the company's products and finances. The future CEO is set to be Brad Hoover.
Grammarly is available only in English and only for written texts. At this moment there are no immediate future plans to expand to other languages or to other media, e.g., audio.
Essentially the app does not just correct the grammar of a text, but through the artificial intelligence it uses it has the ability to process the “simple language», to compose new words and phrases in order to provide its users with the solution to a daily problem, to write texts correctly!
Hemant Taneja, who led the investment at General Catalyst, said in an interview that the reason for the app's success is that beyond just grammar correction, they also use artificial intelligence, which makes them stand out from competing companies. Even Google, for example, can give you instructions on what to reply to an email.

On the other hand, Brad Hoover added that in their future plans, in addition to expanding to more platforms, they also want to create more tools for business subscribers. This means there will be more tools based on the “guide style” for people in specific departments, such as customer service, so that they remain correct in their expressions and how they talk about the company to the outside world.
Finally, the main reason Grammarly is used so heavily by businesses is for its style correction tool. It is the biggest problem that the majority faces today in their written communication. Thus this particular app is seeing only a daily increase.
