Fedora 28 final: official announcement and availability

Fedora 28: The Fedora Project team has announced the release of the new Fedora 28 final as the next major release of the famous distribution. The new final version of the Fedora 28 distribution was finally officially released today, May 1, 2018 (the date preferred by the developers) and not on May 8, 2018, which had a second backup date in the development schedule in case something went wrong. Fedora is one of the most popular GNU/Linux distributions. It is the result of the Fedora Project, a large community of volunteers and is funded and generally supported by the famous Red Hat. This of course means, reliability… RedHat. Fedora is free for anyone. So anyone can use, modify and distribute it. It is developed by people all over the world who work together as a community. The Fedora Project, or Fedora Project, is open and everyone is welcome to become a member. Fedora releases a new version every 6 months and you can see the Fedora lifecycle in detail on the project's wiki page. Let's see what the new version brings: The new version, Fedora 28, comes with some important changes, such as the ability to more easily add third-party software to the Workstation version.

The main feature of Fedora 28 Server is the availability of the new Modular repository, which allows you to choose between different versions of software such as NodeJS or Django, so you can find the stack you need for your software. Interested? Read the documentation on using modules.

ARM 64-bit (Aarch64) is coming as the initial architecture for Fedora Server. Fedora 28 Workstation brings big news: For the first time, we're making it easier for users to enable certain third-party applications, such as proprietary NVIDIA drivers.

More important information can be found in the official project announcement.
Fedora is available in three main flavors (Workstation, Server, and Atomic), as well as many community spins.
