Windows 10 1909 (19H2): All Slow Ring testers get the same version

All Slow Ring users will now get the same version of Windows 10 updates due to the bug with features that were enabled by default.

Microsoft released (Windows 10 1909) 19H2 to the Slow Ring and Release Preview ring with different build numbers. It also released two different preview builds of 19H2 to the Slow Ring, with users getting different feature choices.

Although it caused confusion for users, Microsoft is testing its ability to push feature updates with the features disabled by default, and so it plans to release Windows 10 19H2 this fall to all users.

Starting today, Windows 10 Slow Ring Insiders have been consolidated into the same 19H2 preview, which has the build number 18362.10019, and all have the features enabled by default.

The goal is to deliver 19H2 as a low-cost cumulative update rather than a full update, at least for users on version 1903. As a result, all Slow Ring users are getting this build number 18362.10019, which will have all 19H2 features enabled. Even those on the Windows 10 May 2019 Update who just joined the Slow Ring to try out the 19H2 updates will get the same build number 18362.10019.

19H2

And since everyone will be on the "same page" in the Slow Ring, Microsoft is detailing all the features that will be included in 19H2.

Microsoft is allowing third-party digital assistants like Alexa to activate the digital assistant above the lock screen in 19H2.

Users can now create an event from the Calendar in the Taskbar by clicking the date and time in the lower-right corner of the Taskbar. This will open the Calendar drop-down menu, allowing users to select a date and type in the text box.

There are many improvements to notifications. Notification settings now sort notification senders by the most recently displayed notification without taking into account the sender. Users can now mute the sound for new notifications and turn off app or website notifications from the notification panel.

Microsoft has added a “Manage notifications” button to the top of the Action Center as a shortcut to the Notifications & actions settings page.

File Explorer folder search has been updated to show suggestions supported by the web, in addition to files stored locally on the computer.

There is also a key rotation feature that allows administrators to move recovery codes across managed devices.
