According to a new study , of the telecommunications companies around the world, Huawei is the one most likely to have vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers. In fact, a large percentage of network equipment from a sample taken by researchers contained at least one such vulnerability.

The tests on Huawei's firmware were provided to government agencies in the US, UK and lawmakers. The report has been widely reported for its implications for the company and for confirming decisions made by the Trump administration.

A White House and President Trumpsaid the test results support the government's assessment that Huawei maintains covert access to some of the systems it has installed for international customers. Having access to customers or local governments allows the company to extract information and process databases on local systems.
