Last week, OnePlus released its new smartphone, the OnePlus 7 Pro. Already, from the first day of release, many comments and reviews were written, which created a lot of expectations for the new phone. However, it seems that from the very beginning, there have been complaints from consumers, which mainly have to do with the cameras.
OnePlus is releasing its first update for the OnePlus 7 Pro just days after its launch, showing that the company is on the lookout for and responding quickly to customer complaints.
OnePlus has posted a list of fixes on its forums , which are included in the new update . It should be noted that the update doesn't address all the issues that are present. However, it covers quite a few of them, considering how quickly it was released. There has been an improvement in the "double tap to wake" feature, as well as in the speed of sound when playing games.
Regarding camera-related fixes, the company mentioned the following:
- Better image quality in HDR
- Better image quality in low light conditions
- Improvement of settings related to white balance
- Improving focus
However, many users complained about the image quality even in well-lit environments. The update doesn’t seem to do anything about this complaint. Some users have already received the update, but they are not completely satisfied. For example, there is no fix for one of the most talked about issues of the phone, which concerns the 3x optical zoom. OnePlus’ response is that “it works, as it was designed to work”.
The new update also doesn't fix other major issues that OnePlus itself has identified on its phones. One of them is "ghost touches," which refers to the phenomenon where something on the phone is pressed by itself without the user having pressed it.
Despite its quick response, OnePlus hasn't satisfied users with its fixes. Most customers are not only disappointed with the problems themselves but also because they feel the company deceived them with its advertising of the phone and its features.
