Netflix initially launched the Smart Downloads feature in July of last year for Android users and has now made it available to iOS.
This feature, according to the company, will help iOS users manage the content they download much more easily in the Netflix app.
The Smart Downloads feature will automatically download the next episode of a series and will delete the current one after the user finishes watching it. This eliminates the storage problem that most consumers face on their smartphones. This new feature will also work when the user watches multiple shows simultaneously.
Android , Windows 10, and iOS users can access this feature through the Netflix app while connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection. They can also opt out of this feature in the future if they don't like it, and they also have the option to keep a show or movie on their device to watch again at a later time.
Netflix initially released the Smart Downloads feature for Android users and shortly after brought it to Windows 10.
The company says that this feature will improve the viewing experience, making it easier for users to have their favorite Netflix shows and movies with them.
