Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled returns improved!

CrashTen years after its original release on PlayStation, Crash Bandicoot and his friends return in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, a remaster of the classic racing game. This HD upgrade of the original Naughty Dog game comes from Beenox, the studio best known for the Skylanders games.

Together with Team Sonic Racing, which will be released next May, they are going to travel us back in time, with a few more elements of the present day.

According to the game's demo, the graphics upgrade is the big advantage of this remaster. Every detail, from the characters to the combat environment, is extremely detailed, giving the impression that everything around you is alive.

Beenox has also made the motion controls as authentic as possible. At any point in the game, the control you'll have over your player is smooth and consistent.

To add a bit of strategy to this action-packed game, not all characters are created equal. The character selection screen features a stats box that lets you compare different competitors, meaning you'll be able to choose the right character for you, depending on what kind of player you are (do you like top speeds or better handling?), as well as the route you want to take.

The game will feature all 18 tracks from the original game as well as the seven older arenas that offer a battle royale-style alternative to the regular races. The package will also include a new online mode with leaderboards.

Perhaps this new re-release of Crash Team Racing will be the beginning of a new golden age for this beloved game.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will be released on June 21st for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
