Cooler Master has unveiled its new SF cooler series at CES in Las Vegas, with a striking design. What makes this SF240P ARGB cooler so special is that it features two 120mm static pressure optimized fans housed within a single unit.
It features 56 RGB LEDs, soft white fan blades for better light diffusion, a white RGB LED, one cable for PWM control and one for RGB, reducing the number of cables in half.
If you really like the chassis, but don't like the idea of dual fans in a single case (or you only need one), Cooler Master will also release a single-fan SF120P variant, albeit with fewer LEDs, 24 to be exact.
The static pressure value is 2.32 mmH2O and 43 CFM. The fan noise is quite low, at 8-30 dBA, while the total RPM operating range is 650-2400 and all this with a two-year warranty.
However, there's no mention of pricing or availability, which is a shame, because while it provides a simple solution to a common problem, the design looks impressive and with these specs it would really be a surprise if more companies don't offer something similar soon.
Following the launch of the Wraith Ripper with the second-generation Threadripper, Cooler Master has also announced a similar design in the form of the MasterAir MA610M that is compatible with every processor from the last 10 years.
At 6.5 inches (165mm) tall, it has a fairly modest design. And with a simple SF120R fan included, there's concern that it might struggle to keep some of the top-end LGA2066 chips cool, especially in the warmer months.
The MasterAir MA610M will launch in May of this year in North America, priced at $90.
