We expect the release of 4K Webcams from Microsoft for both Xbox One and Windows 10 soon!

While the Microsoft Kinect may be gone, that doesn't mean the company has given up on webcams. In recent days, Microsoft has been rumored to be planning new cameras, one of which is compatible with the Xbox One gaming console and Windows 10 PCs at the same time.
Most impressive of all, these cameras could add Windows Hello authentication to Microsoft devices. Furthermore, these cameras will have 4K resolution, a feature that will make them the best in the 2019 technology market! In fact, it is speculated that one of the USB Type-C cameras will add the much-coveted Windows Hello feature to any Windows 10 PC.
On the other hand, the Xbox One could regain the Kinect feature, which authenticates users via facial recognition. Essentially, users would be able to log in to their Xbox simply by placing their face in front of the camera. This could work for multiple users, as well as make it easier for other players to join in on a single console.
According to company representatives, the new webcam feature could come with Microsoft's Surface Hub 2, with a simultaneous launch of its demonstration in the company's conference room. The device will feature multiple USB ports, making it capable of connecting to more than one camera, a feature that could be one of the main functions of the new cameras.
The webcams that will be compatible with both Windows and Xbox will be released as Microsoft moves forward with the setup for password-free login with Windows Hello. With the release of the October update for Windows 10, Microsoft already enabled WebAuthn-based authentication, which prepares the way to log in to the company's sites, such as Office 365, with Windows Hello and security keys. So we expect the new webcam feature from the new year!
