Google is considering launching a subscription service

According to XDA Developers , the Google Play Store is likely to soon introduce a subscription service, called “Play Pass.” This service will allow you to access all or a select number of apps, for a monthly fee.service

The first evidence was found by XDA-recognized developer Quinny899, who stumbled upon a Play Store feature called “Play Pass,” using the Xposed Framework.

Decrypted code related to Play Pass hints at a subscription service, and now further evidence of this upcoming feature has been found in Google Rewards.

A user was recently asked to “imagine an anonymous, subscription-based app store that offers hundreds of apps and games for a monthly fee.” The question also asked the user to explain whether the word “Pass” would be appropriate for such a service.

Considering these two incidents, it's safe to assume that a subscription service could soon be available on the Google Play Store. Given that Google has previously announced investigations into new products or services under test, the same could be true this time around.

However, there is always a chance that the feature may never see the light of day, as it is still in the testing phase.
