Microsoft has developed a new firmware and drivers package for its Surface Book devices, the August 2018 release, which includes several changes that improve overall security, stability, and graphics performance.
The new versions improve stability by updating the Intel Camera, Graphics, Display Audio, HIDClass, SST, Serial IO, ME, CSI2 and Signal Processor 2500 drivers, Surface ME Firmware as well as Microsoft Camera and Control Logic files.
The current update also improves graphics performance via the NVIDIA 23.21.13.9140 graphics package and improves system security via the 91.2289.769.0 Surface UEFI Firmware (also includes Microsoft Security Advisory 180012 and 180013).
Regarding the installation, save the file you can download to your Surface, install all included drivers and follow all on-screen instructions for a complete and successful installation.
