Developer Steve Troughton-Smith has revealed on Twitter what appear to be the first snapshots of Apple's upcoming macOS 10.14 operating system that could be unveiled later today at WWDC 2018.
While Apple continues to keep its mouth shut about upcoming versions of its iOS, macOS, watchOS , and tvOS operating systems, it appears that an independent developer has discovered a 30-second preview video on the Mac App Store page of the Xcode 10 IDE that shows macOS 10.14 with a new dark look.
The current macOS version, High Sierra 10.13, already supports dark looks for the menu tab and dock, which users can easily enable from the Preferences app by selecting the “Use dark menu bar and Dock” option in the General section, but macOS 10.14 features a system-wide dark look alongside Blue and Graphite.
The leak also revealed that Apple may be releasing an Apple News app for macOS and that the Mac App Store app could support video previews for apps and games. In the meantime, Apple has removed video previews from the Mac App Store, so we can only show you a few screenshots taken by Steve Troughton-Smith.
Apple is rumored to unveil macOS 10.14 today along with iOS 12, tvOS 12, and watchOS 5 during WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference), which will take place between June 4-8 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.
