Fuchsia: Meet Google's new operating system

Google recently published a documentation document for its upcoming operating system, Fuchsia, which many believe will one day replace Android and Chrome OS.

The operating system has been in development for more than two years, and Google wanted to keep its existence a secret until it was sure it was a successful project.

Since Android and Chrome OS use the Linux kernel, many believed that Fuchsia is also a Linux- based operating system , but Google makes it clear in published documents that “Fuchsia is not Linux.”

Fuchsia is an operating system based on the Zircon microkernel, which provides the basic drivers.Fuchsia

Although the documentation is far from complete, Google's Fuchsia is unique, innovative, and promising. It's a -like with POSIX compatibility and Vulkan drivers.

It uses an Escher processor which offers many features. Furthermore, file systems in Fuchsia are not linked to the kernel or loaded into it, but run exclusively in user space. Updating to a new file system in Fuchsia is also a very simple process, which can be done without rebooting the system.

If you're curious to know how Google its new operating system, you can take a look at its published documents. For now, all we have to do is wait until the company completes the development of Fuchsia, presents its new creation to us in every detail, and answers any questions we may have.
