Those who travel frequently in Europe, but don’t want to miss their favorite series on Netflix, no longer need to worry. Now they can combine them!

A new EU regulation called the “Regulation on the Portability of Electronic Content Services” will allow European citizens to access subscription services, including Netflix and Amazon Prime, to which they have subscribed, anywhere within the European Union.
The regulation was originally passed in June, and the nine-month grace period given to providers to prepare is set to expire soon, according to Wired reports.
Currently, providers such as Netflix must secure local rights regarding their content for each region in which they operate. This is also the reason why a series is available for viewing in some countries, but not in others.
In the EU, this is now a thing of the past. Providers of such services are now required to verify the country of origin of their subscribers and allow them to access content that is available in their country, regardless of where they are located (as long as they are within the EU).
As more and more young people abandon cable television and turn to streaming services, being able to access these services while traveling to other countries becomes increasingly necessary. Being able to watch one's favorite series everywhere certainly eliminates that which previously was an annoying part of an otherwise pleasant trip!
