Microsoft's Skype platform appears to be experiencing some issues as user reports indicate that connection is no longer possible in some countries.
Although the specific information has not been confirmed, the Skype problem first appeared in early February, shortly after fixing a bug causing limited instant messaging service.
As if the fact that sending text messages and initiating video calls is not possible for accounts affected by the issue were not enough, problems are now also occurring in the login and instant messaging process.
Connectivity issues, however, are being reported in various markets, including the US, Australia, Europe as well as Africa.
In the last few hours the most common problems are connecting, sending and receiving messages, and initiating voice calls. The countries most affected are Japan, parts of Russia, Italy, parts of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Poland.
Please note that there are many reports of connectivity issues on the mobile version of the app, including the official client for Windows phones. Please note that reinstalling the app or restarting devices does not help, as the problem is located on the server.
Microsoft does not provide further details about what is happening on the platform Microsoft Skype and why it is taking so long to address the problems since, as we mentioned above, the bugs were identified since early February.
