Microsoft recently announced the release of an LTE version of the Surface Pro for businesses by December 31st.
But it seems the company was ready ahead of schedule, and the Surface Pro with LTE for business has been available since early December. Microsoft has already started offering the consumer version as the Commercial Microsoft Surface Pro with LTE.
There are two versions of the LTE device for sale, and the more powerful model is already out of stock on Microsoft's online store.
Users can choose between the more affordable Intel Core i5 version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for $1,149 or the more expensive version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, also with an i5 chip, priced at $1,449.
On the other hand, customers will be charged extra for the Surface Pro Signature Type Cover and Surface Pen as both accessories are not included in the package but are sold separately.
At this point, as we mentioned earlier, the more expensive model is out of stock, so you can only buy the 4GB RAM model from the Microsoft Store. The gap in units will be filled by early 2018.
Unfortunately, LTE support is not offered on the top-of-the-line Surface Pro that comes with an Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Microsoft says the primary target for the Surface Pro SKU is the enterprise market.
As you can see, those of you who wish to buy the new Surface Pro with LTE need to hurry because the offer is limited and it is very likely that the last remaining pieces will be sold out.
