Favorite Lock Screen: Microsoft recently released another lock screen app for Android and this time it promises more features to users.
The reason for this is Favorite Lock Screen, which was developed by Microsoft Garage and comes with the standard set of features you would expect from an Android, including daily wallpapers, news, quick access to apps and settings, notifications, and search options.
Microsoft says that Favorite Lock Screen can offer a more personalized experience, as it provides wallpapers and news specifically designed for you with support for a wide range of interests, including sports, animals, cars, actors, and musicians.
The new app integrates Bing and comes with gesture support, for a quick swipe on the camera icon allowing you to launch the camera without unlocking the device.
Favorite Lock Screen is the fourth Android app released by Microsoft after Next Lock Screen, Tetra Lock Screen, and Picturesque Lock Screen.
"We wanted to build a lock screen that doesn't just offer pretty images. Our app allows people to create a more personalized experience centered around their preferences and interests," a Microsoft spokesperson said.
It should be noted that it is still in its early stages, so there is not as much advanced functionality, but, as is logical, the greater the demand from users for the application, the greater the chances of having a more developed version of it.
