It looks like the iPad could be the next Apple product to get facial recognition.

The company's next iPad Pro is expected to remove the home button in favor of Face ID, just like the iPhone X, according to a new report from Bloomberg.
The tablet will be released in 2018 and will not only add Face ID to its features, but will also have a new design with “noticeably” smaller bezels than previous iPad Pro models. In addition, the new iPad will launch with an upgraded processor, GPU, and the Apple Pencil Stylus, which will be accompanied by a new set of software features.
Although the iPad Pro will feature an iPhone X-style redesign, the Bloomberg report notes that the company is "probably unlikely" to swap out the tablet's existing display for OLED technology, as Apple would likely face supply constraints.
The story, which comes from trusted Apple journalist Mark Gurman, follows a previous prediction from another notable Apple analyst, Ming Chi-Kuo, who said Apple could bring TrueDepth cameras to its iPads.
Although Kuo didn't mention Face ID specifically, Apple's True Depth cameras are what enable facial recognition, Animoji, and other features that take advantage of the iPhone X's advanced selfie camera technology.
