Microsoft could soon rename the Windows Store in Windows 10 to “Microsoft Store,” as this name would better reflect the addition of new content and categories available to users.

Although Microsoft has not announced the change, a new report today reveals that the company has already renamed the Windows Store to Microsoft Store in a version aimed at professional customers and the education market, with consumers likely to follow later.
“Welcome to the Microsoft Store for Business and Education! You can use the Microsoft Store to find, acquire, distribute, and manage apps for your organization. You can also work with developers to create line-of-business apps that are available only to your organization. IT admins can sign up for the Microsoft Store for Business and Education and start working with apps,” reads one of the documentation pages.
Renaming the Windows Store to Microsoft Store makes sense in Windows 10, especially since the software giant is adding more content and product categories that aren't necessarily related to Windows.
For example, although the Windows Store was originally supposed to provide quick access to apps and games, it has since expanded to include music, movies, themes, and browser extensions, most recently with Microsoft's announcement that it will bring the full version of Office to the Store.
At the same time, Microsoft has also been spotted testing Office 365 subscriptions sold through the Store, so the change opens the door to a larger expansion that could at some point include even more products that can be purchased by users.
