And in Austria, they're thinking of taking driving lessons a step further, using VR and Samsung to give students a more complete driving experience.
According to a study conducted by the Austrian Automobile Association, it was found that in 2015, 76% of drivers who were distracted while driving were unable to brake in time to avoid obstacles or accidents. And so, together with Samsung, they decided to use the Drive VR app to teach novice drivers about the dangers of distracted driving in a safe environment. VR is a great way to do this safely.
This will be able to show young drivers how quickly an accident can happen when their attention is diverted from the road, as well as the consequences of their actions. VR will help students experience virtual scenarios, which will certainly be much more effective than simply telling them. It seems like a good move to teach young drivers the dangers of asphalt. In the future, we may see more driving schools use the technology in this way and integrate it into their lessons. It will be interesting to see how well it works in creating better and more careful drivers.
