About a week before Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy A (2017) series at an event already confirmed for January 5th, the reveal took place in a different way.
Three new Android smartphones will be announced in early January: the Galaxy A3 (2017), the Galaxy A5 (2017), and the Galaxy A7 (2017). However, some of them, like the Galaxy A7 (2017), will only be available in select markets.
Below you will find the prices leaked from a Chinese site. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) will be available on the market for around $380, while the Galaxy A7 (2017) will cost $425.
Keep in mind, though, that these prices are only for the Chinese market, where mobile phone manufacturers tend to sell their products much cheaper.
But let's see what hardware the upcoming Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with. First of all, the smartphone is IP68 certified (waterproof) and comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.
Inside, the phone is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with 16-megapixel cameras on the rear and front, both with f/1.9 apertures.
The device features a fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, and a 3000 mAh battery. The phone will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will feature the same IP68 design certification but comes with a much larger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution.
It will feature the same octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The two cameras will be 16-megapixel. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port but will have a larger battery at 3,600 mAh.
