Google Maps has made one of its most useful updates by displaying whether a location, such as a building or restaurant, is wheelchair accessible.
The sources of information for these updates are essentially Google Maps users , who record and answer questions about the places they visit, stating for example the average cost of a meal or whether there is parking, etc.
The service is not yet available for Greece, but if you are moving to America you will find wheelchair accessibility information under the “Amenities” section when searching for a point of interest on the Map, and you can also add your own findings.
The new feature was built by Rio Akasaka, one of the Google Drive managers who took advantage of the right that Google gave its employees to work for 20% of their working time on their own projects.
