Moana is a Disney children's movie that the company has used to teach coding lessons to kids. So, it just released Moana: Wayfinding With Code, a free tutorial that gives kids an introduction to the fundamentals of software development through a simple, game-like graphical environment.

In these basic software lessons, the young player must guide Moana and Maui – the two protagonists in the film – through the ocean to go fishing with their boat, avoiding pirates. Each route is a level and is carried out by building small logical programming diagrams.
To make it easier for young users to use, the diagram is made by dragging the correct command into a window, rather than typing them from memory.
The Moana: Wayfinding With Code web application is available in more than 180 countries and in 23 languages, unfortunately not including Greek.
The tutorial is part of the Hour Of Code. This isn't the first time Disney has created a website with coding lessons. Over the past two years, Disney has launched two-hour Code tutorials featuring characters from the Frozen and Star Wars movies. The company says that in total, more than 40 million students have played through these lessons.
