In preparation for today's launch of the new Google Daydream Headset, Google has made a series of new virtual reality games and VR experiences available through the Google Play app store.
Some new Google Daydream View apps that will be available at launch include a VR-style video player, Google Street View, interactive apps from the BBC and more, as well as the official Daydream app that is required to use the headset with your compatible Android smartphone.
- CNN VR introduces a VR-style video player that lets you watch both 2D videos on a virtual big screen and 360-degree videos that you can explore from any angle
- Google Street View lets you explore remote (or nearby) locations through Google's Street View cameras
- Fantastic Beasts is a compatible app for the Warner Bros. film, allowing you to "meet and interact with the film's monsters.".
- Guardian VR will take you on virtual tours of various locations, including London's sewer system.
- Turning Forest is an interactive story from the BBC.
- Mekorama VR is a puzzle game that allows you to solve levels using Daydream and a controller.
- Hunter Gate VR is an arcade/shooter game for VR Headset.
