The free, open-source, and cross-platform video player SMPlayer has been updated to version 16.11. The new release adds two new features and fixes several bugs reported by users of the stable version 16.9.
Two months after the release of SMPlayer 16.9, the new version 16.11 promises a new option called “Show OSD information.” The new option is located in the View – OSD menu.
“The current SMPlayer menu is not designed to handle many functions, however, the playlist can support even hundreds of thousands of files without any problem,” says one of the developers in the announcement of the new version.
The second feature that comes with the new SMPlayer 16.11 is the additional options in the Preferences – Playlist panel that allow users to control the behavior of the playlist better than before. For example, you can make the playlist suitable for saving bookmarks.
The new SMPlayer 16.11 version is a recommended update for everyone.
