Starting today, Facebook Messenger users will be able to make transactions with PayPal.
Those who have ever transacted on Messenger will know that it only supported payments via debit cards. But as it turns out today, ironically, Messenger is adding support for PayPal before PayPal-owned Venmo became popular.
Facebook's messaging app has also added a new feature that will notify you of any recent PayPal transactions.
What does all of the above mean?
Facebook, as promised, is slowly but surely turning Messenger into a full-fledged business app, and the ability to send and receive payments is just a small part of that process. PayPal simply came as another option on the table.
PayPal transactions will begin rolling out in the US starting today.
At the moment we do not know when we will see the new feature in Greece or other countries.
