Google's free 1GB Wi-Fi is being used to surf Pornhub at Patna railway station in India
There is no doubt that India ranks third among the nations that watch the most porn since 2015. According to Pornhub's report, India was third in the list of countries that brought maximum traffic to its website. The first was the US, the second was the UK and the third was India. Patna railway station tops the chart in terms of internet searches, using its free Wi-Fi service, a railway station official said on Monday.
It seems that Patna railway station is the Pornhub capital of India. Porn seems to be at the top of Indians' minds as they surf the web on the free 1GB Wi-Fi provided by Google at Patna railway station.
"More than any other railway station in the country, where free Wi-Fi service has been launched, Patna railway station tops the country in internet search usage, particularly for porn sites," said a Railtel official.
After Patna, Jaipur railway station is the second most searched for online, followed by Bangalore and New Delhi. "It was revealed from our user data usage records," the official said.
Patna station was the first station in Bihar to get Google's free Wi-Fi. This railway station is one of the busiest, with over 200 trains passing through daily.
According to Railtel officials, after Pornhub, passengers use the free Wi-Fi for YouTube, followed by Wikipedia. Some people have used the free Wi-Fi to download apps and Bollywood and Hollywood movies. At present, Railtel is providing 1 GigaBite Wi-Fi at Patna railway station, but it is planning to increase it to 10 Gigabits due to the slow internet speed in view of the large number of passengers using it, including the youth, who spend long hours there to enjoy the free internet.
The service was commissioned by Railtel, in partnership with Google, to provide high-speed internet for railways in these parts.
