About a week ago, there were a lot of posts reporting that a drone had collided with a British Airways plane.
But British authorities speculate that the object that hit the British Airways plane could have been something more harmless: a plastic bag.
According to the Telegraph, UK Transport Secretary Robert Goodwill pointed out that it had not been confirmed that the plane had collided with a drone.
Mr. Goodwill said:
"The reported drone strike on Sunday has not been confirmed to be in fact a strike by an unmanned aircraft.
It was the local police authority that reported in a tweet that a drone hit an aircraft.”
“And indeed, the initial reports of a dent in the front of the plane were not confirmed. There was no real damage to the plane, while reports suggest it could have even been a plastic bag or something like that.”
