Samsung has announced the new Galaxy A (2016) series, which consists of three smartphones: the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7. A fourth smartphone that was leaked in the last two weeks, the A9, has not yet been announced.
According to Samsung, the three new A-series devices will be available in the market from mid-December. However, they will reportedly be released first in China and then we will see them in global markets.
Their prices have not been announced yet, but judging by the features, the Samsung A3 (2016) should be the cheapest device.

The Galaxy A3 (2016) has a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that supports HD resolution at 720p.
The phone comes equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage that can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card slot.
It has a decent 13-megapixel camera on the back, as well as a second 5-megapixel one on the front.
The phone will be powered by a 2,300 mAh battery and comes with multiple connectivity options, including dual-SIM, 4G LTE Cat.4, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC (Near Field Communication), and GPS with AGPS.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) features a larger 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that supports full HD at 1080p.
The phone is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card slot.
Just like the Galaxy A3 (2016), it has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The only difference is that the Galaxy A5 (2016) camera has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).
It comes with the same connectivity options, except it also offers LTE Cat.6 support. Its battery is better at 2,900 mAh with fast charging technology.
The Galaxy A7 (2016) has a much larger 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display that supports full HD at 1080p.
It is powered by a similar octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, expandable up to 128GB.
On the back, the A7 has a 13-megapixel camera with OIS, while on the front there's a 5-megapixel one for selfies and video calls.
The phone has a high-capacity battery (3,300 mAh) with fast charging feature.
All three A-series (2016) phones will run Android 5.1 Lollipop.
