Kaspersky Lab has just announced the continuation of its sponsorship of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 racing team. The new five-year agreement will be in effect from 2017 until 2021.
Eugene Kaspersky, President and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, said:
«This is a big and important day for us and I am excited that our partnership with Scuderia Ferrari is expanding. Although we operate in different sectors, we share common values and the commitment to be the best at what we do. I look forward to more enthusiastic moments and new successes!».
The partnership between the two companies, which began in 2010, has been expanding annually to date. In addition to sponsoring the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team, Kaspersky Lab has developed the Kaspersky Motorsport, with the help of Ferrari.
Kaspersky Motorsport is responsible for the entirety of Kaspersky Lab's activities in the field of motor sport – from entering championships and supporting talented young drivers to realizing its vision for car safety.
Since 2013, the partnership has expanded, with Ferrari choosing Kaspersky Lab to provide comprehensive and technologically advanced IT security solutions and measures. This technical collaboration marks a new milestone in the relationship between the two companies.
From the iconic Maranello factory to the checkered flag on the tracks, Ferrari's IT systems are protected by customized security solutions from Kaspersky Lab.
Commenting on the renewal of the sponsorship agreement, Alexander Moiseev, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab, said:
«It is easy to see that even if we operate in different sectors, we have a lot in common with Scuderia Ferrari. And for both companies, technological pioneering, innovation and passion for our work are common priorities. At Kaspersky Lab we are especially proud to have an inspired partner who never stops evolving».
