If you like the look of Microsoft Edge, but prefer to work with Firefox, then you can combine the two.
In other words, you can have your favorite Firefox browser with colors and menus like Mozilla Edge.
The appearance of a program is completely subjective and a matter of taste, so to speak. And since tastes vary from user to user, there are certainly users out there who prefer the design of Edge.
If you are one of them, then we inform you that you are now able to transform your Firefox to look like Microsoft's browser, without sacrificing any of Firefox's functionality.
Before we take a look at the process, we would like to show you a screenshot of what Firefox will look like after its conversion.
The conversion process has three main steps:
Step 1: Install the Stylish add-on in Firefox which will help you add instructions for the theme to Firefox. Step 2: Then install the Buttons back add-on which moves the Stop/Reload and Home buttons back to the beginning of the address bar. Restart Firefox. Step 3: Download the theme in question from Deviant Art after you have installed the two previous Firefox add-ons and restarted the browser.
- Unzip it to your system and then open the Main Theme folder created by the unzipping.
- There you will find a text file, “Mozilla Edge [Rev. 4203-D].txt”. Open this file and copy (copy with Ctrl-C) all the text and code inside it.
- Finally, go to Firefox addons (You can also type the address: about:addons) and from there click on “Create a new style” from Stylish.
- Type a name for the new style, let's say "Edge from iguru" and paste all the text with the code you copied in step 3.2 (Paste with Ctrl-V)
- Save and Enable the Theme
If all went well, Firefox should now look a lot more like Microsoft Edge. This includes not only the colors and general layout of the browser, but also the menu, which now resembles the Edge menu, as you can see in the screenshot above.
If you still don't see any changes or everything is crappy or you just don't like the new look, you can undo all changes at any time by disabling or removing the style from the add-ons.
