Software Freedom Day was celebrated on September 19th around the world.
Software Freedom Day is an initiative that began in 2004 and is organized every year by Software Freedom Day https://www.softwarefreedomday.org and aims to inform and raise public awareness about the benefits of Free Software and Open Source Software.
Last Saturday, dozens of groups and communities from 90 countries around the world, including Greece, joined their voices to celebrate free software, informing about the benefits of using it in education, at home, and in businesses.
In Greece, Software Freedom Day will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Research Laboratory of the TEI of Western Macedonia in Kastoria by the Kastoria Linux Society and the IEEE SB of TEI of Western Macedonia.
