Earlier this week, Ahmed Mohamed, a 14-year-old, was arrested on charges of going to plant a bomb at his school.
After his arrest and the investigation conducted by the authorities, it was determined that Ahmed was simply trying to demonstrate his creativity by showing his teacher a homemade digital clock.
However, Ahmed Mohamed's creativity does not seem to have worked out well for him, in a country that, after 9-11, is afraid of even its own shadow.
So his teacher felt threatened and decided to report him.
The story went viral on social media and thus came to the attention of many major personalities, who began to express their support for a child whose only mistake was his passion for creation.
The US president himself invited him to the White House.

Mark Zuckerberg invited him to visit Facebook headquarters, and Hillary Clinton supported him on Twitter.

Microsoft, on the other hand, decided to support Ahmed by sending a mountain of gadgets.
The Redmond-based company sent Ahmed the new Surface 3 Pro and its related accessories, a Microsoft Band, a free Office 365 subscription, and more.
