Move to iOS: A big surprise from Apple that released an app aimed at helping Android users get rid of the platform.
In addition to releasing iOS 9 today, Apple also released Move to iOS, a new Android app that helps users transfer their files from Google's operating system to Apple's mobile platform.
Aside from Beats Music for Android, which Apple acquired, this is the company's first Android app and you can download it now from Google Play.
Apple didn't announce the Move to iOS app alongside iOS 9 at WWDC 2015. The new app was reportedly simply and quietly added to the company's What's New in iOS.
As its name suggests, the app allows you to move your content from your Android device (phone or tablet) to the iOS device you purchased.
Switch to iOS will transfer contacts, message history, photos and videos, web bookmarks, email accounts, and calendars.
A future version will be able to help users rebuild their library of apps by installing their iOS equivalents. As long as the app exists on both platforms, Apple will suggest you download it.
The Move to iOS app supports phones and tablets running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or later. On the Apple side, you'll need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 9.
