New security addition to Firefox! Did you know that by using private browsing on websites, your computer or mobile device does not store the data it acquires while browsing, such as history, login information, cookies, etc.
However, the Mozilla Foundation plans to go one step further to enable true private browsing to the general public.
The new Pre-Beta release from the Mozilla Foundation, in Firefox Developer Editions on Windows, Mac and Linux as well as in Firefox Aurora for Android will launch the new feature.
Firefox's new private mode will not only prevent your information from being stored on your device, but it will also block all web-based trackers from monitoring your online activities.
A few days ago, the EFF released something similar as a browser extension that essentially blocks websites that collect your data.
However, because these trackers are sometimes necessary for a website to function and thus sites may not display properly, the Mozilla Foundation gives you the option to disable the feature with one click.
You can immediately disable protection by clicking the shield icon next to the URL bar.
