Microsoft a sensation in the developer community this week with its announcement that with new tools, they will be able to port Android and iOS applications to Windows.
While these tools are said to save developers time by allowing them to leverage their applications on other platforms, they also raise several security concerns.
It's no secret that there are malicious apps on the Google Play store, and Microsoft wants to make sure they don't make it into the Windows ecosystem.
The company said, as NeoWin reports, that at this moment a team of researchers are monitoring and recording these apps and telemetry data from Windows users. The results will be used proactively so that these apps do not manage to slip past security checks.
