Bad day for Apple today, as the iTunes Store and various other company services were offline (and for some still are) for several hours.
The problems began today, Wednesday, March 11, and affected many of Apple 's services , such as the App Store, iTunes Store, and Mac App Store.
As you can see in the image above, some of the company's services remain down. Apple has released a statement apologizing for the extended outage. While some of its services have been restored, the most important ones appear to still be down.

“We apologize to our customers who are experiencing issues with iTunes and other services since this morning. The cause was an internal DNS error at Apple. We are working to make all of our services available to our customers as soon as possible, and we would like to thank everyone for their patience,” an Apple spokesperson told CNBC.
