EKT: An information day entitled “Raising awareness and developing capacities regarding evaluations in the field of Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RTDI) in Greece”, is organized by the Center for Financial Studies and Education (KEMEX) of the Department of Economics (TOE) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT). on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in Athens, at the Kostis Palamas Building (48 Akadimias and Sina).
The aim of the symposium is to showcase the project “EVAL- INNO: Fostering evaluation competences in research, technology and innovation in the SEE region” and its deliverables in Greece, as well as to initiate a constructive dialogue about the current situation, but also the future of ETAK evaluations in Greece.
In the framework of the territorial cooperation program for Southeast Europe, the Center for Studies and Education of Financial (KEMEX) of the University of Athens participates in the project “EVAL- INNO. The aim of the project is to raise awareness as well as develop skills related to assessments in the field of research, technological development and innovation (ETAK) in the Southeast Europe region. The project involves entities from 6 countries: Austria (coordinator), Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia and Montenegro.
Within the framework of the project, among other things, “evaluation standards” have been published in the Greek language, training weeks have been organized for evaluators and Ministry executives in 4 countries in the region (Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Montenegro), an electronic platform for RTDI evaluations in SEE has been built and is operational (https://www.eval-inno.eu/), a study has been prepared on public procurement in RTDI evaluations in SEE and finally a pilot comparative evaluation (benchmarking) of 6 RTDI organizations (one from each country) has been completed.
At the conference, invited besides the staff of the GGET, which is the primary awarding authority for ETAC evaluations, staff of other public bodies involved in ETAC evaluations as awarding authorities (EUD EP Competitiveness, etc.) and mainly the community of ETAC evaluators in Greece (Academics, Staff of Consulting Firms).
The conclusions of the conference, where all those involved in ETAC evaluations in Greece will participate, could signal a roadmap of GGET initiatives in this area.
