Toshiba , the inventor of flash memory, has announced its fastest microSD memory cards . The new cards follow the Ultra High Speed serial bus interface – UHS-II standard .
They will be available in capacities of 32 and 64 GB , offering the ability to record even 4K with a minimum write speed of 30 MB/s.
The 64GB cards offer maximum read speeds of 260 MB /s and write speeds of 240 MB /s . The 32GB models offer speeds of 145 MB /s and 130 MB /s , respectively .
Improved performance allows for faster transfer of music and movie files to smartphones and tablets, as well as high-speed continuous shooting.
The availability and cost of the new cards are not yet known.
