A dangerous drinking game called “Neknominate” that has been plaguing Australia and New Zealand seems to have taken a more extreme form. Creepy videos have been circulating of drinkers performing dangerous stunts while drinking various drinks. The corresponding Facebook group has already reached 17,000 likes.

“Neknominate” is a “game” that was made popular by a series of videos of drunk students (presumably students) attempting incredibly dangerous stunts. From drinking water from a toilet while hanging upside down, to drinking beers while riding motorcycles or skateboards, to jumping off bridges to hanging from helicopters. The challenges in each video simply get more and more dangerous for their physical integrity.
The “game” involves young people videotaping themselves while consuming large amounts of alcohol and then engaging in ridiculous and dangerous adventures, likely causing themselves pain, notes International Business Times.
The hashtag “neknominate” was first reported in some countries in Europe almost a year ago and has since spread in popularity. However, the deadly game has reached alarming levels in Australia, with people pushing their limits in challenges.
On the corresponding Facebook page , fans, in addition to the abundance of videos of the stupid things they do, urge their friends from all over the world to meet in Io, Greece, this summer.
So don't be surprised if you hear in August 2014 about serious injuries or even deaths of tourists while doing risky stunts, such as the following:
